Investigating Some Railway Stations. 26-04-2024.

Good Afternoon,

Over the Next Few Days I will be doing some investigations into a Few Railway Stations.


I will be following up on this Railway Station, The Raglan Railway Station, to see if Negotiations with Transport NSW for a Pedestrian Crossing Have advanced. When I last made contact with the Transport Dept, they advised the Committee from the Raglan Railway Station Group, had to make a Presentation, and get the Local Mp to present it to the Transport Minister.
Good Luck to them, I hope they get their Pedestrian Crossing.


Glenreagh Railway Station,
All has gone quiet about this Railway Station.
Not sure if it is still in the control of ARTC, OR,
Somebody has a Lease on it.
Will have to contact TAHE.



1919 Broken Hill Railway Station,
Will be contacting Council to see if there has been any Progress with Leasing the Building,
Will also be contacting ARTC about what is Happening as well.

We know that it has a New Roof, and, thanks go to Larry Angell and Brian Leedham for lobbying to get the New Roof On,
Also a Security fence has been put up, and,
A Pictured cover put on the Fence.



The Next Railway Station I need to Investigate is the,
Girilambone Railway Station.
45 Kilometres North of Nyngan
Have to get in touch with the Council,and,
Some of the Locals if possible.




Weethalle Railway Station



I was there 12 months ago, and, it looked like it needed some TLC.
Have to get in touch with the Lady I phoned las Year about it.
She advised they were having trouble getting Volunteer's.

Have been in touch with the owners of the Stationmasters House at Narrandera,




The owners are busy restoring both buildings,
A lot of people stayed at these places when the Hot Rod show was on at Easter.

Both buildings are directly opposite the Railway Station.



I am in constant contact with the owners of the two Accommodation places, and,
Promote them on my Blogs and Facebook Pages.

Stockinbingal Railway Station,






I will be contacting TAHE and ARTC to see what is Happening with this Railway Station.

Cumnock Railway Station,



Need to contact the Locals to see how far this Project has Progressed.

Merriwa Railway Station,

Last time I visited the Precinct was looking very good with the Carriages Now Complimenting the Railway Station.
Have to contact the Committee to see what has been happening.

July 2023.

Mangoplah Railway Station,

I am hoping to travel south in the Next 3 Months, to get some Photos of this Railway Station, and, Maybe talk to the Owner about their Plans.

Girilambone Railway Station. 28-04-2024.

 Good Morning, April 2019, My First contact with the Bogan Shire Council was in April 2019, where I was involved via several emails with several people, as I was looking at a Project for the Station, to get a Lease myself, But, Council was awarded a Grant for 1 Million Dollars thru a Stimulus Package, so my plans for the Railway Station were dropped. I have done several Write Ups, and will add the links here later today. More photos to come soon. Breaking News. 30-04-2024.

 Evening, Girilambone Railway Station March 28th 2023. Today I was sent some Interior Photos, A Friend sent them to me, The Photos have been removed due to Photo Theft. Thanks very much to my friend for allowing me to use his Photos. A Photo from March the 28th 2023. The Drought Stimulus Package that was given to the Bogan Shire Council was one million dollars, Some of the money was for the Nyngan museum, and the Girilambone railway station. The Restoration Project started in June /July of 2020. There is quite a bit of difference between to 2 Photos Above.
